Why should I choose Legacy Fencing for my fencing project?
At Legacy Fencing, we don’t believe in cutting corners. Our attention to detail and quality will deliver a project that will beautify and add value to your home or business. We’ll guide you through the process – from selection to installation – and our crew of professionals will complete your project in a timely manner and leave your yard neat and orderly. Ask your friends and neighbors who did their fencing and if they would use the same company again.
How long have you been in business?
Legacy Fencing began installing fences in 1998. Our installers have over 50 years of experience.
Where are you located and what area do you service?
We are located at 1100 McNutt Road in Conway, AR. We service residential and commercial customers located within the central AR area.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, checks and credit cards. We do not require any payment up front (except for special ordered material), but the total amount is due upon completion of project.
Do you offer a warranty or guarantee on your products and services?
We warranty any defects in workmanship for up to 1 year from the purchase date. This covers installation errors only. Treated fencing material, when subjected to the harsh outdoor conditions, may warp, crack and even discolor. These changes may occur regardless of who installs your fencing. Items excluded from warranty include vandalism, natural disasters, vehicular damage, normal wear and tear, etc. Please see the question about caring for your wood fence to learn how you can help prevent these issues.
Materials are covered by the individual manufacturer’s warranties. Check with your sales associate for specific material warranty info.
Is Legacy Fencing insured?
Yes, we carry General Liability (protects YOUR property) and Workers Comp (protects our workers) policies. Being a homeowner, it is very important that you work with contractors that have these insurance coverages. They protect you, your family, and your home in the event that any accidents occur. We can provide a certificate of insurance if requested.
Can I buy materials only?
Yes. Choose a style of fence that you like, make a drawing of the area to be fenced in, and fax or e-mail the info to us. We will figure a quote based on the info you provide and get it back to you. We will have the materials ready for pickup at our office, or will deliver the materials, for a fee, within a 50 miles radius of Conway, AR.
How do I decide what kind of fence I need?
You must first determine what the purpose of your fence will be. For instance, is it simply for decorative purposes or to add value to your home? Or is it for privacy, security, or pool safety? Once you know the purpose for the fence, then our sales team will review the different options available and assist you in choosing the best type of fence to meet your needs.
How do I take care of my wood fence?
We always recommend you spend the money and/or time to stain/seal your fence. Staining will reduce the effect that natural elements (sun, rain, etc.) have on the fence, and help increase the life of your fence. Without the protection of a stain/sealer, the wood will turn gray over time and be prone to rotting and warping prematurely. You can purchase a stain/sealant at your local home improvement store in the paint section or ask us for a quote if you don’t have the time or equipment to do it yourself.
What is the scheduling process?
Your project will be placed on our schedule in chronological order around other customer’s projects. Our office manager and sales consultants will schedule to accommodate your requests as much as possible. Please be aware that the start date can vary depending on the scope of the project, availability of materials, current workload and weather.
How long will it take to install my fence?
Installation time varies depending on the size of the project, but a typical residential fence takes 3 days from start to finish. We dig and set the posts on the first day, allow the concrete time to dry on the second day, and finish installing the fence on the third day. We do everything possible to ensure your project is completed in a timely manner, while still maintaining our high level of quality. If there are any delays in the completion of your fence due to weather, unexpected delays, etc., we will contact you and keep you informed during the installation process.
Do I need to be home during my fence installation?
We ask that you meet with our salesman and our installers for a few minutes to verify the particulars of your fence. Following the initial meeting, feel free to follow your normal routine during the fence installation. Legacy Fencing has personally selected crews that are extremely trustworthy. Please be aware that our crews must build your fence according to their work order. Any deviations from the original fence contract must be authorized by your salesman.
Do I need to be worried about underground utilities or private lines/sprinkler lines?
Before starting work, we will contact ARKUPS. In turn, they will contact their facility operating members who will send someone out to locate and mark their underground lines and wires on the property. As for any private lines(i.e. water, gas, sprinklers, field lines, etc.), Legacy Fencing will not be held responsible. These lines usually cannot be located by the homeowner nor will ARKUPS locate private lines.
Should I notify my neighbors prior to installing or replacing a fence?
We highly recommend it, especially if you are replacing a fence. Your neighbors will need to make arrangements concerning their pets. They may also want to secure their backyard or remove items from their side of the fence. You may also find that your neighbor will be willing to help cover partial cost of the new fence.
